Spreading Easter Joy: UTRAK Touches Lives at Kasoa Shelter
Easter is a time of hope, renewal, and compassion—and at UTRAK Savings and Loans, we believe there’s no better way to celebrate than by giving back to the communities we serve.
On Saturday, 19th April 2025, staff and customers from our Kasoa Branch visited Shelter Ghana Make a Difference, a remarkable facility in the Awutu Senya District that provides a safe haven for children facing homelessness, neglect, and other vulnerabilities.
The visit was more than a donation—it was an experience of empathy, joy, and connection.
Making a Difference, Together
UTRAK staff and loyal customers came bearing essential supplies, including:
- Bags of rice and beans
- Toiletries and sanitary items
- Canned foods and sachet water
These items were warmly received by the Shelter's management, who continue to work hand-in-hand with the Department of Social Welfare to care for children from as young as 8 months to 17 years old, including those with special needs.
A Day of Smiles and Solidarity
Beyond the donations, the team spent quality time with the children and staff—playing games, chatting, and simply being present. The group was also taken on a tour of the shelter’s facilities, which include:
- A fully functioning school
- A surgical unit for minor procedures
- A dental clinic
For many of our team members, the visit was a heartfelt reminder of the power of compassion and community.
