In line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda and commitment to improving community well-being, UTRAK Savings and Loans Ltd., in collaboration with Tema Women’s Hospital, organized a free breast cancer screening exercise at the Mallam Atta Market Day Care Centre on Friday, October 3, 2025.

The outreach formed part of activities marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month and aimed to promote early detection and preventive healthcare among women in the informal sector.

More than 70 traders, including two men, were screened for breast cancer and had their blood pressure checked during the exercise.

Speaking at the event, representatives from both UTRAK and Tema Women’s Hospital emphasized the importance of regular screening and awareness creation in the fight against breast cancer.

This initiative marks the first in a series of planned health outreach programs to be carried out across selected markets and communities, reaffirming UTRAK’s commitment to empowering lives beyond banking.
