UTRAK Screens 108 for Breast Cancer at Adum, Kumasi
As part of activities marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month, UTRAK Savings and Loans organized a free breast cancer screening exercise on Friday, 31st October 2025, at its Adum Branch in Kumasi. The initiative formed part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and employee wellness program aimed at promoting early detection, education, and awareness of breast cancer among staff and clients.
The exercise was a collaborative effort between the Marketing and Corporate Communications Department and the Human Resource Department, with medical support from Peace and Love Hospital, Oduom – Kumasi. The program commenced with a brief opening address by Mr. Clement Anarfi, Branch Manager of UTRAK Adum, who emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and encouraged all participants to make their health a priority.
The medical team from Peace and Love Hospital led an insightful educational session on breast self-examination techniques, early warning signs, and available treatment and support options. Following the session, participants underwent free screening and consultations.
In total, 108 women were screened, 13 received focused health education, and 8 abnormalities were detected. The team offered personalized medical advice to each participant based on their screening outcomes.
Participants expressed deep appreciation to UTRAK for prioritizing their health and providing access to expert care at no cost. The event not only promoted early detection but also reinforced UTRAK’s commitment to community well-being and preventive health awareness.
UTRAK Savings and Loans remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that enhance the welfare of its staff, customers, and the communities it serves. The company plans to replicate similar wellness exercises across its branch network to promote a culture of preventive healthcare and continuous education.
